Can a Gurgaon RWA legally ban pets?
No. Under Animal Welfare Board of India guidelines, an RWA cannot impose a blanket ban on keeping pets. It can only regulate nuisance — noise, hygiene and leash use in common areas. We still recommend a lease clause confirming pet permission.
Is the security deposit higher for pet owners?
Landlords typically ask for two to three months' rent as deposit; with pets some ask for an extra half month or a repainting undertaking. That is negotiable, not statutory.
Which Gurgaon micro-markets are easiest for large dogs?
Independent builder floors in DLF Phase 1–4 and South City, and low-density societies on Sohna Road and Sector 102–113 with internal jogging loops.
