What should a 'fully furnished' Gurgaon flat include?
Split ACs in every room, beds with mattresses, wardrobes, sofa, dining set, modular kitchen with chimney and hob, refrigerator, washing machine, geysers, curtains and light fittings. Get all of it listed in the annexure to the lease.
How much deposit is standard?
Two months' rent for Indian tenants and up to three months for corporate or expat leases on furnished units. Deposit is refundable less damages, not adjustable against the last month's rent unless the lease says so.
Is a rent agreement registration required in Haryana?
Leases of 12 months or less are commonly notarised on stamp paper; anything longer should be registered with the Sub-Registrar. Registration protects you if the landlord sells the property mid-term.
